Judy Westerfield, M.A, MFT, a TOS Society(TM) Professional Provider, asked me to help her cover her booth while she gave one of the educational seminars for the National Fibromyalgia Association during the conference. Her topic was “Use of Guided Imagery to Manage Fibromyalgia.” Some of the other seminar topics were “Role of the Caregiver,” “The Value of a Support Group,” “Sleep and Fibromyalgia,” “Medication Management,” “Social Security: Getting what You Deserve(See SS Page Above),” and many others All with very useful information.
Many TOS patients have Fibromyalgia. “The Fibromyalgia patient experiences pain amplification due to abnormal sensory processing in the central nervous system.” Judy tells us, “While there is currently no cure for Fibromyalgia, better ways to diagnose and treat the chronic pain disorder continue to be developed.”
