Hi TOSSers from Phil La Puma
Welcome to TOSSociety‘s new blog serving the Thoracic Outlet Syndrome Patients and TOS Community!
How TOSSociety Got Started:
TOSS (Thoracic Outlet Syndrome Society) came about because Cyndy and I were invited to a meeting of people with T.O.S. (Thoracic Outlet Syndrome) in Orange County & Southern, CA at Tam’s house.
10 or so of us got together, met face to face and heard our stories related to Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.
Since that day we have made many wonderful friends because of T.O.S.
Yes, Cyndy deals each day with the pain of T.O.S., the loss of career, and change in lifestyle over the past 10 years, and me as a caretaker, and her family as well.
So it was great getting together and telling our “stories” and meeting all of these families with T.O.S. and learning how to cope with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.
What Is the Mission and Purpose of the Thoracic Outlet Syndrome Blog?
The purpose of the TOSS Blog is to inform, share stories of success, what works and what are the keys to wellness and a better lifestyle for those of us and our families that have suffered with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (T.O.S.), Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI), Carpel Tunnel, Chronic Pain, Reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD), also called complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), Fibromyalgia, and the many other names our doctors put upon us.
There are many (a handful) great doctors that have taught and helped us.
There are people I must thank for getting this going.
First of all Cyndy for her leadership and dedication to getting it moving, to Michael Holt, PHd. (Docmagi) for re-building the site, Rhona Jordan, CHt for guidance and support, and to Molly Imel for her inspiration as a role model who succeeds against all odds.
Rhona and I are preparing classes on pain management and wellness for TOSS members
Please sign up and you will receive notices of new blogs, classes, meetings and you will have the opportunity to learn and find the path to positive solutions to your challenges of life.
To your health!
